Why is it such a big issue either way whether Hitler was or was not a vegetarian. I'm a vegetarian and I don't care whether Hitler was or was not a vegetarian. What i do care about is people being politcally correct and not facing uo to the fact that most of the evidence does indeed suggest that Adolf Hitler was a vegetarian. That is stupid attempt to be 'holy and thou' and occupy a moral ground, and I do despise that. There are bad, evil, silly, you name it vegetarians as well as meat-eaters (if stupity/evil/good etc was confined to simply what we ate we wouldn't be in so much trouble as a species)
I neither feel threatened by someone being a meat-eater and a meat-eater need not be threatened by me. I am confident and happy in my choice. My health outcomes are excellent and there are many meat eaters whose health outcomes are just as excellent. We can achieve that in various ways according to our own uniquenesses. It's a shallow person who draws their energy from demonising others' dietary preferences....

Could not agree more. What you eat is your choice, and while I'm a meat-eater, when I'm giving a dinner party I make sure my vegetarian friend has tasty vegetarian food on offer.

What annoys me are the evangelistical vegans who practice dietary racism and try to make you feel guilty about your lifestyle. I would call those characters nasty, if not evil. Evil is the word I would reserve for Animal Rights terrorists and hypocrites like PETA (they kill adoptable pets as they are not approved by their extremist ideology).

The logic here is truly a fallacy of division. Hitler was a vegetarian, so all vegetarians are like Hitler... Hitler was also a man, so does that mean that all men are like Hitler?

I would love to delve deeper into this logic, but the irony of the whole idea is too funny... a page dedicated to preaching hate against one group of people is trying to say that the other group is like Hitler, now that is too funny.

Even if Hilter was vegetarian for a time how does that mean anything? their are far more murders and violent people that are meaters than veggies. Does this mean veggies are less violent? No, it means their are less of them.

Leonardo was vegetarian, he wasn't born vegetarian so of course he had meat before, like a lot of veggies have.

The site makes me smile during a long day of work :)

You know who else was a vegetarian? Pythagoras, Plato, Leonardo Da Vinci, Martin Luther, Sir Isaac Newton, Voltaire, Benjamin Franklin, Ralph Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, Abraham Lincoln, Henry Ford, Mahatma Gandhi, Albert Schweitzer, Albert Einstein, H.G. Wells...

But let's just disregard all of the brilliant minded geniuses that were, too, vegetarians because one sick f*ck of a man also realized that feeding himself animal carcasses was disgusting?

The myth about Pythagoras being a vegetarian comes from the Roman writer Ovid, who was by no means a contemporary of Pythagoras. Aristoteles states that Pythagoras did not eat uterus, heart, anemones and similar things, but made full use of the rest.

As for Martin Luther, despite the widespread belief that Luther lived in poverty, evidence suggests he was a well-fed man weighing in at a hefty 150 kg when he died in 1546 at the age of 63. An archaeological excavation through the Luther kitchen waste pit offers proof that the family ate well. There are clues that they regularly dined on roast goose and the tender meat of piglets, while during fasting periods they tucked into expensive fish including herring, cod, and plaice. Partridge and song-birds often graced the Luthers’ dinner table.

Catherine Conduitt, Sir Isaac Newton's niece wrote that he ate "very little flesh, and lived chiefly broth, vegetables and fruit." Not precisely a vegan diet there.

Einstein became vegetarian during his last year of life. Go figure, the guy goes vegetarian and promptly dies.

I wonder why vegans have such a weak faith in their belief system that they have to bolster it with such lies...

Lincoln was no vegetarian, there are not a few quotes about him eating meat:

"The February 1857 party was a large affair for 500 guests. "I recall,
with sad pleasure, the dinners and evening parties given by Mrs.
Lincoln," wrote friend Isaac Arnold in his biography of the President.
"In his modest and simple home, where everything was so orderly and
refined, there was always on the part of both Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln, a
cordial and hearty Western welcome, which put every guest perfectly at
ease. He table was famed for the excellence of many rare Kentucky
dishes, and for the venison, wild turkeys, and other game, which in
those early days was abundant. Yet it was the genial and ever kind
welcome welcome of the hostess, and the wit and humor, anecdote and
unrivalled conversation of the host, which formed the chief
attraction, and made a dinner at Lincoln's cottage an event to be
    remembered." "

"The menu at the Lincolns was fresh but not necessarily appetizing.
Journalist Donn Piatt and General Robert E. Schenck visited the
Lincolns in Springfield shortly before the 1860 election. "On the day
of our arrival we were invited to a supper at the house of the
President-elect. It was a plain, comfortable frame structure, and the
supper was an old-fashioned mess of indigestion, composed mainly of
cake, pies and chickens, the last evidently killed in the morning, to
be eaten, as best they might, that evening." "

"Republican politician James O. Cunningham wrote about Mr. Lincoln's
appearance at the Urbana fair grounds during the 1858 Senate campaign:
"At the entrance to the grounds he was met by a committee of ladies
and escorted to a seat at the head of the table supporting an
abundance of barbecued food, at which particular seat had been placed
the rest of the spread for the use of the honored guest. He took the
seat prepared for him, while the long tables were assailed by his
followers, and began eating his dinner. Looking around, he saw an old
woman standing not far away looking intently at him. He at once
recognized her as a waiter and dishwasher at the hotel in Urbana, whom
everybody knew as Granny. Ayres said to her, 'Why, Granny, have you no
place? You must have some dinner. Here, take my place.' The old lady
answered, 'No, Mr. Lincoln, I just wanted to see you. I don't want any
dinner.' In spite of her protestations, Lincoln arose from his seat at
the head of the table and compelled her to take his place and have her
dinner, while he took his turkey leg and biscuit and, seating himself
at the foot of a nearby tree, ate his dinner, apparently with the
greatest satisfaction: meanwhile Granny Hutchinson filled the place at
the head of the table and ate her dinner as he had insisted she should
    do." "

Denying hitler was a vegetarian is akin to denying the holocaust.

Twisting history for ones own perverse agenda.

This is great. You know, I have used the fact that Hitler was a vegetarian to support a different point on many occasions. Not that Nazi's make vegetarians look bad or the other way around, but the point that that the world is complicated, and sometimes has unexpected twists. ex:

"Wow Tom I just found out that Thomas Jefferson owned slaves"

"That's nothing Jim. Did you know that Hitler was a vegetarian?"

What does it matter if he was a veggie or not.

Harold Shipman, Fred and Rose West, Peter Sutcliffe, Ian Brady, Myra Hindley - to name a few. All evil bastards that ate meat.

I am veggie and very passive and not aggresive.

What a pathetic site this is

I have nothing against meat eaters. I don't preach. It's my personal choice, but to say Veggies and Vegans are evil is madness

To address this thread, the denial is key.

As Hitler is one of the "queen vegetarians" that spawns other, contrary to what ever you believe, vegetarians must be spawned much like the creatures in the made up movie "Aliens". Hitler was himself an egg layer, if you look carefully all photos and video of him are shot as to conceal the egg sack.

The problem is he needed hosts to lay his eggs. That's basically why World War 2 happened, he needed to lay eggs millions.

And accounts for the other vegetarian mass murders, you also notice the slim number of real vegetarians, because "the normals" cannot live by a vegetarian diet.

Now what if we just went around admitting to these egg layers, we would go extinct pretty quickly, sad to say.

Now you might be wondering why am I posting this information. And I'd say to you good point: "why indeed?"

You see I'm a half breed, I can walk in the day light, and I've spend my life hunting these damn things across the face of the earth.

Sadly, I can only feed of soy. As animal protein causes me to melt.

Remember if you sight a vegetarian, or an overload, you might know them as vegans, do not attempt to kill it, as these fuckers are hard to kill. If you got your back to the wall, silver bullets are the best way to go.

And remember if anyone invites you to an all night vegetarian club, say no, cuz you can be damn sure there is an egg layer there.

The reason is Hitler ate sausages, caviar and stuffed pigeon. Some stupid people think things like sausages and pigeon etc are not meat... well I have to tell you it IS meat and Hitler DID eat it.

It is true however that Hitler was a Catholic, that makes much more sense to me. Christians are evil!

I don't understand why people need to make it a point to search for things to divide us. I don't eat meat, and I don't care who does or doesn't. My entire family eats meat daily. Although my father was near a heart attack, and I do not recommend eating so much red meat, I am not one to tell people NOT to do it. It is a choice, and it doesn't make me a different kind of person, like some portray vegetarians. If I didn't tell people, no one could tell the difference between myself and someone who enjoys eating meat. There are no real differences besides personal choice of diet.
We should probably make a website discrimating people for the type of underwear they choose to wear now, since we are trying to separate and put people down for their personal choices that really shouldn't matter to anyone else.

Why argue and press beliefs on others?

Anyone with an ounce of morality/compassion/sense knows or should deep down that other animals are flesh and blood as well and shouldn't been killed and definately not eaten. Eating animal muscle and organs etc is utterly depraved!
