Hi guys. Maybe you can help answer some questions for me.
As a vegan myself (dunh dunh dunnnhhh!), anti-vegetarian websites really fascinate me. I really want to see some majorly sound arguments out there. I can definitely agree with the frustration of dealing with jerks who happen to be vegs. I also see your point that some vegs don't really love animals but that they just are bitter about humankind.
Nothing wrong with a person's personal choice to be a christian, however, what's with the christian propaganda? Maybe you guys are Christians, but you've got to respect that those arguments don't fly with all the non-christians out there.
Non-Christians do not care about an unverified bible story about Cain and Abel. And by the way, the food offerings that both of those kids have displayed may or may not be their personal dietary choices for all we knew.. (assuming the story was true). For all we know, the "house chores" could have been divided to individuals but everyone shared in the goods, which could mean that both people could have been omni's. We don't even know how many other sons and daughters were in that family and how in the heck Cain nabbed a wife after he was hit with a curse after he murdered his brother. But the main point of my argument is that non-christians aren't going to consider a possible fictional religious character as sound proof that vegetarians are evil.
Now, onto other things..
Define "evil". This will help us a lot in our quest to show how a group of people is evil.
Also,
What's up with the anti-abortion agenda here? Not even all Christians agree with pro-life. And non-christian non-vegetarians who are for pro-choice who might have otherwise listened to you guys may now consider your website a little less credible and more biased. There is a biased assumption that fetuses have personhood... which they do not. Even an adult animal has more sentience, awareness, and intelligence than a 1 month old fetus. a fetus is not even the same as a newborn baby- muchless a fully-developed, sentient, intelligent, and aware human woman. To breech the rights of a woman's choice in controlling her reproductive fertility and life destiny over a potential (not a fully-realized yet) person or even a sperm or egg cell (since some pro-lifers are even against *birth control*!) is an insult- it's sexist because the woman is no longer given consideration for human rights, and it's also sexist because of the assumption that women's lives and destinies are solely wrapped around having children and that this is all they want. The idea of all women wanting to have and raise babies is a stereotype, similar to the stereotype of how all black people are good at sports.
Pro-lifers tend to be overwhelmingly male (who will never experience pregnancies or the life-altering circumstances that hinge on it), and pro-lifers (as a group) also overwhelmingly don't seem to care about human beings *after* they are born. Pro-lifers tend to be politically republican and/or conservative which gripe about the so-called existence of "welfare queens" (which is actually a myth, the average welfare recipient has two children at the most) and want to reduce government benefits to poor children as much as possible (for the record, childhood poverty is 1 out of 4 children in the USA), all while supporting an aggressive military who sends young adults (with usually poor backgrounds) into third world countries to get blown up in. There's a lot less ideological hypocrisy in supporting real live humans over supporting the fruition of existence of a potentially-developing human-celled thing in a womb. Can we actually afford to support rampant human breeding economically and environmentally anyway?
What's up with talking about the anti-christ and possible connections to vegetarianism? I know that article is down on your website for the time being, but it's just another funny thing for non-christians to point out. Not even all christians agree with the interpretation of the book of Revelations anyway. Even if a christian agreed with your religious preference exactly and believed in a rapture and a future trial period for earth, a lot of the personality of the so-called antichrist would still be speculative.
There's a few more "christian" points to be made here, but I'll stop for now. Anyone else is welcome to point out more christian propaganda here. Just FYI, I'm not an atheist.
Yeah I'm a veg-head too. I don't know how I managed to stumble across this waste of space but it seems to me that you anti-vegetarians can produce nothing but negativity. I have nothing against people who eat meat, and don't believe I'm on a pedestal simply because I choose to feed my body differently. All I've managed to gather from this site (and its supporters) is that it's acceptable to encourage baseless ideals of hatred and create a false sense of superiority of one lifestyle over another. Yeah, seriously. Get a grip.
I have nothing against people who are vegan or vegetarian and believe in live and let live. Unfortunately I have ran into a load of vegans who are dietary racists, that is, they believe that their 'compassionate stance' makes them superior to everyone who does not share their beliefs, and they will let everyone know that in no uncertain terms. Trust me, that kind of attitude makes me very annoyed and most unlikely to ever to convert into their religion - and on that evangelistical level it is nothing short of a religion.
Eating Meat is part of food chain, but why torture before killing? I mean ways an intention should not be evil. Making a society Vegetarian is conspiracy to make it weak. On the other hand making every member compulsorily kill animal or watch it killed, slowly bleed to death, reciting, and rejoicing prayers & rituals over it is to make society a terrorist germination plant. Strike the balance. Get meat from dignified, scientific, humane and hygienic methods. Subscribe only to traditional Christian or ancient Hindu/Sikh way. Now a days there is undeclared Jihad to make Civilized meat eaters Islamic Halal by Communal and commercial Consolidation. Hindus have been made weak over centuries by propagating vegetarianism by Pseudo-Holy/Hindus interpreters of Spirituality. Since Hindus became vegetarians they are losing inch by inch- year by year. Of late Sikhs the most Miraculous warriors have started becoming vegetarians, now they have been reduced to bunch of History Relishing Creatures and target of mobs and street fights.
