Vegetarianism is a mental illness. It's a form of psychotic self denial with paranoid delusions about the sufferer's "superior morality" and "compassion". Most of them cry themselves to sleep dreaming of a world with forced vegetarianism so that everyone can be as miserable as them. Then they drift off to dreams of McDonalds, KFC, juicy steaks, bacon and all the other delicious food that they have to deny themselves because to give in would mean that they are human like the rest of us with no charade of moral superiority left. Sometimes they experience a total breakdown and run screaming to the nearest White Castle, for others, it's a lifelong delusion and a short, miserable life at that.

This is from your many years of studying the emotional lives and dream patterns of vegetarians?

You are a silly, silly man, Colonel.

As the world struggles towards survival, meat eating will go the way of the dinosaurs. Raising cattle for food is one of our great polluters; so becoming vegan will be a healthy, sane solution. If the mad cow disease of Great Britain (with millions of cattle being burned up and down their fair nations) hasn't convinced meat eaters to go veggie, nothing will short of martial law.

By the looney comments on this site made by meat eaters, I'd say mad cow disease is rampant.

meat will be one of our great saviours as you dont need as much meat as you do plants to survive the fact is, carivors eat a lot less than herbivors.

It's been a long time since I've commented here.

Nev, that doesn't make much sense, though, does it?

It may well be true that "you don't need as much meat as you do plants to survive," and that "carnivores eat a lot less than herbivores." But... what do you think the animals raised for food eat? The reality, of course, is that those animals require an awful lot of food. Much of the land used to grow crops is developed specifically to feed cattle and pigs and such. So while a vegetarian may "eat more" at meal time, the actual consumption is less... because it takes something like 7 calories of feed to produce 1 calorie of meat. Not terribly efficient.

I call POE's law with this site. I can't tell if it's parody, or retarded, over-the-top-fundamentalism. If the latter, the US has more seriously deranged people than I thought. If the former, that's the driest humor I've e ever encountered.

This site must be a joke.
It has to be a joke.
I refuse to belive that the creator of this site is serious.
    Veganism is child abuse?
I asked my mum why she let me eat meat when I was little. I wish she'd raised me on a vegan (or at least vegatarian) diet!
And as for that s**t about vegan food is crappy, I'm making a nutritionally balenced vegan recipe book for school, and my friends have literally gotten down on their knees and begged me for some of my vegan food....go figue...

    i'm a nutritionist, an athlete, a coach, a personal trainer, a researcher a lecturer...
and i adopt a vegan lifestyle.

to me, "being vegan" is merely a personal choice.
i do not actively try to stop anybody from eating meat; and in fact,
i cook my family and friends meat meals (i don't eat it... but maybe i ain't a "vegan" anymore by doing so...
    but... really... who cares?)

i spend a lot of time coming up with new recipes for them
(just because i know it would be healthier and would taste better
than whatever they are going to eat otherwise)

i was a meat-eater and i have enjoyed it but i just didn't like it anymore... for various reasons.
it may be for the world, for the animals or for something else...
but for whatever reason it is, "being a vegan" makes my heart content.

    it works for me...
gives me more energy and makes me happier.

some people don't like to eat peaches, and some don't like to eat lamb.
and i just don't like to eat meat, that's all.

just because i don't eat meat does not mean i hate everybody who does...
but i do appreciate people who don't attack me for "being a vegan"
(really... i want people to know that...
i do not think vegans are "better"...
and people who eat meat shouldn't feel like i'm saying that they are doing something wrong...
it's not about right or wrong...
it's about what you feel is right and wrong...

if you think eating meat's right for you, then go right ahead.
you could be healthy eating meat and you could be sick being a vegan, or vice versa.
    key is balance.

as for me... i had and still have family members who ridicule me all the time...
and try to make me eat meat at every meal... even when i say no...
they keep offering and just keep asking me to eat them...

then start saying... "o she doesn't eat anything"
"o she doesn't eat this and she doesn't eat that...."
"don't order this, and don't order that cuz' she won't eat it..."
"there's nothing we could order because she won't eat anything on the menu..."
"o let's order this... o no... she won't eat this..."
"so what about that? no... she doesn't eat that TOO..."

honestly... i KNOW what i want to eat and i can order for myself...
i ain't telling you to not order anything with meat...

so really... if i ain't lecturing you as a nutritionist...
(which is my profession and my job)
that you shouldn't be eating fries and pizzas and drinking pops...
and that you should start exercising and drink at least 8 glasses of water...
you should stop attacking me for being a vegan.
if you ain't coming to my clinic asking me for advice,
i'd rather not talk about food at all.

    cheers.

The angriest person on my team is a vegetarian. She flies off the handle very often, almost everything annoys her. She is also the one with the most days off sick due to stomach problems.

I know that a sample of one is not valid statistically, but her behavior and health problems do make me think...

    Dear meat eaters,

after 29 years of self-denial and malnutrition(that's how old I am) I am expecting to die any moment. That will teach my mum, who brought me up vegetarian, a lesson! Needless to say I have no friends as I'm angry all the time and the only thing I can think of is food and how sad my life is without meat.

Please, can someone prepare me a steak, otherwise I'm afraid I might die any day.

If that isn't propaganda, then I really don't know what is. And for the whole aggression thing, look at the ones who keep saying "douche bags" and "fuck". This site is propaganda. There is no way that Genghis Khan was vegetarian because he lived in Mongolia. (If you know anything about Mongolia, you would know its located on the Central Asian steppes. It's very cold there with poor soil which means that farming wasn't suitable. Also, the Mongols were a nomads which indicates that they did NOT farm.)Then for all those who believe Adolf Hitler was a vegetarian, he was a Christian too. Well not all Christians are evil. Actually most are kind. There are extremists in every group and to stereotype them all is why we fight amongst ourselves. Since we all agree that humans are the most intelligent animals, why can't we stop arguing amongst ourselves and help each other out regardless of our beliefs. (I'm a Jain- we believe in vegetarianism and given a choice to starve or eat meat. We would rather die than eat meat. We also believe that we should respect others who don't share our beliefs). The other day I volunteered at a Christian donation center. I volunteered there (yes they were meat eaters) not to quarrel with them but to help those in need. So instead of fighting amongst each other, we should support each other and better our race as a whole not by killing each other but by finding a cure to cancer or diabetes. How about a space mission to mars or exploring Earth's last frontier- the ocean? We should all respect one another. No matter what our beliefs are.

i'm not hungry.... i eat a lot in fact, just not anything with meat in it.......

there is soooo much vegetarian/vegan food out there, who wouldn't want to try it??

at our office, when we have lunch brought in, and me and one other person being the only vegetarians out of 30, we have to get to the breakroom fast, or else all the veggie food is gone...

it's always the first to go!! people just love it!!

Lol yep, the person who created this site wanted fun outta it and is gettin fun but I find it incredibly stupid how people think christians and mormons have alot to do with vegos. its true some people can be SO judgmental and force their beliefs onto you, thats WRONG and thats THEM. You cant go around steroetyping one group because a few blank minded peole did it. Whose to say we have a FAIR FREEDOM OF CHOICE in this world? you eat what you want when you want and HOW you want its YOUR business! Vegos stop trying to convert meatasours, and Meat eaters stop dissing the vegos. Sheese, find a new hobby.
